WYOMING CHAPTER ASFMRA, January 15, 2008

January 15, 2008 at the Park Plazza in Casper, Wyoming with Steve Gleason calling the meeting to order.

The minutes from the Sherdian, WY were accepted and approved.

Jim Hastings gave a treasurers report. (This report is not posted here but is available to members.)

All bills from the Fall meeting were paid and there are no outstanding bills except for the current class. Treasures report was accepted.

Upcoming Meetings

Steve pointed out these upcoming National ASFMRA Meetings:

.National meeting in San Diego, CA February 17-20

.July 13-18 2008 Summer Education meeting,Omaha, NE.

.The November annual meeting will be in San Antonio, TX

Local Meetings/Classes: Wyoming AI is putting on a seminar February 11, 2008 in Rapid City, SD on Evaluation Residential Construction.

The next WY Chpt meeting will be in the fall 2008 time period. Lyle is working on it. (Please thank Lyle for all of the hard work he has put on the education program.)

Some discussion on the Chapter internet web site and how to make it more functional. DeLoyd Quarberg is to follow up with tieing WY to the national wed site program.

The national by-laws have been reworked and are on line. (Ours probably need it also.) Also, the national is asking for a dues increase.

Committee Reports

UW Scholarship – no report.

Education – Lyle suggest a penalty for late entrants. Will develop something for the fall meeting. Course materials cost has been increased $50.

ETHICS – no activity

Steve reported that ASFMRA, AI and ASA did not favorably accept unification. ASFMRA and ASA may come up with a plan.

All ASFMRA course number have been changed on the web site.

No report from AI.

Wyoming Real Estate Board now has Bob Brockman and Theo H as members. No special report from either.

The by-law were suspended to allow election of officers. The following were elected to serve.
