Chpt 1-12 & 13-2011 Sec Report WYOMING CHAPTER ASFMRA March 7, 2011 Secretaries Report BORAD MEETING January 12, 2011 Ramkoda Motel Members present Steve Gleason Mike Hastings Jim Hastings DeLoyd Quarberg Meeting called to order by President Mike 1. Scholarship fund – Steve reported that there is a balance of about $3,000. Because there is not enough money to fund the scholarship annually it is recommended the payout be made every other year. Approved 2. Discussed the social net working with AI and the scheduled social event for Thursday evening. 3. Jim H. stated that there was no problem with our status with the IRS. All problems solved. 4. Education Committee a. Suggested a survey of member to determine needs and desires. b. Try to present USPAP in January 2012 with the state. Present an Appraisal Review Seminar in conjunction with the USPAP course. c. Meeting and education scheduled for the fall. d. Mike Hastings is to attend the AI meeting as liaison. Adjourned James A. WYOMING CHAPTER ASFMRA Secretaries Report CHAPTER MEETING January 13, 2011 Membership meeting at the Ramkoda Motel Meeting called to order at 12:30 PM by President Mike Hastings. Secretary’s report was approved. Treasures report indicated an improved balance because of the Wind Seminar in July 2010 and potential break even on the current Environmental Impacts Seminar. Steve Gleason presented information on the Chapters Scholarship. The endowment is currently at $500 per. With a balance of $3,500, there is not enough money to sustain the scholarship. Motion to fund every other year carried. Discussed the upcoming joint social with AI. Estimated cost $10 per head. Summer meeting and Education. Membership to provide feed back to the President on courses they feel would be of benefit and would attend. Suggestions: The Range course for bankers The two or more day Appraisal Review course The conservation easement course A motion made, seconded, and approved that the Chapter enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Wyoming/South Dakota AI regarding joint meetings and education/course fees and costs. Bob Brockman is to follow and report on any AMC legislation. Meeting adjourned 1:00 PM James A.
